My journey in the automotive world began with a fascination for mechanics and technology. After my O-Levels, I completed an Automobile Mechanic Certificate at IIMT Mawanella (2014-2016), followed by an Automobile Technology Programme at the Sri Lanka German Training Institute (2017-2019). In 2023, I earned a Diploma in Advanced Diagnosis and Management from City and Guilds, further specializing in modern vehicle technology. My career path has taken me from instructor at the National Youth Services Council, Dambulla, to Vehicle Inspection Officer at the S&T Vehicle Valuation Centre, Nugegoda. Now, I’ve come full circle, returning to IIMT Mawanella as an instructor at the Akurana Centre for Technical Training. It’s a privilege to teach at the place where my own journey began, and to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals. For me, success means giving back to the community that shaped me.
